Family Birth Center Tours Please join us for a scheduled tour of our Labor and Delivery and Mother/Baby units. Tours will be given on the first and third Wednesday and first and third Saturday of the month. Tours are also given at the end of the "Getting To Know Us" classes and all of the childbirth classes. Fee: No Charge. For reservations, call 720-854-7350. Friday Afternoon Breastfeeding Club Join us for our very popular breastfeeding support group. This fun, informal, weekly group provides breastfeeding mothers an opportunity to ask a lactation consultant questions, weigh their baby, and connect with other breastfeeding mothers in a social atmosphere. It is intended for babies that are not yet mobile (it can get crowded and we don't want anyone to get hurt!) and their moms and her female support people. Fee: No Charge. Lactation Services Our team of Lactation Consultants is available for both inpatient and outpatient consultation that can help with a variety of breastfeeding concerns and challenges. Be sure to check with your insurance provider to see if these services are covered. If you want a consult while you are a patient, just ask your nurse. After you have gone home, you can schedule an appointment by calling our office at 720-854-7230. Please be aware that we cannot accommodate drop-ins for outpatient consults. Many questions about breastfeeding can be answered over the telephone. Please call us at any time during your breastfeeding experience: 720-854-7230. Electric breast pumps are available for both rental and purchase. Please call for availability and rates. Mother and Baby Yoga Stretch, relax and strengthen while your baby participates with you. You'll practice poses that encourage both you and your baby's natural flexibility and development. Learn gentle infant massage techniques and meet other new mothers. Recover from birth as your body transitions from "mommy-to-be" to "full-time mommy." Special support is provided for nursing mothers and you are welcome to feed your infant at any time during class. Taught by a certified Prenatal Yoga Instructor who is also a Registered Nurse. No pre-registration is required. Please bring your own yoga mat if you have one. Fee: $10 Drop-in, $40 for a 5 class punch-card, $80 for a 10 class punch-card. When: Every Wednesday from 10am - 11:30am (No class on 11/26, 12/24 or 12/31. 2009 no class on 4/6, 4/13, 7/6, 7/13, 7/20, 7/27, 9/7 & 12/28). Private Lessons For expectant families who have special needs that would be better met by one-on-one instruction, we offer several classes on a private basis. Private instruction can generally be completed in a shorter time period. Private classes are held at Foothills Hospital. If there is a medical reason that prevents you from traveling to the hospital, private classes can then be held in the privacy of your home. The following classes are available for private instruction: Childbirth Preparation (4-5 hours depending on need) Sibling Preparation for Attending a Birth (2 hours) Preparing for a Cesarean Birth (1.5 hours including a tour of the surgical suite when possible) Magical Beginnings Enchanted Lives (4-8 hours depending on the needs of the family)

New Mom's Group Hear expert speakers address the many concerns of new parents. Share with other new moms. Make new friends. The group is facilitated by a registered nurse specially trained in dealing with moms and babies. There will be scones, petit fours and other delicacies for you to enjoy, and of course tea. We will have a special speaker and will provide time for you to relax and socialize with other new moms. This event is offered four times during the year, and will take the place of the "New Mom's Group" on the four dates below. We look forward to seeing you there. Pre-Natal Aqua Aerobics A class designed for expectant mothers, taught by aquatic instructors who guide you through a safe and highly effective exercise program. New moms welcome too!
