Dr. Simons received his medical degree from the University of Texas in 1971. His undergraduate degree is from Sam Houston State College in Huntsville, Texas. A co-founder of the Gunbarrel Medical Center, Dr. Simons has been practicing family medicine locally since 1980. Prior to that, he practiced in Texas and California † serving two years at the U.S. Navy's Regional Medical Center in Long Beach. Dr. Simons is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
