Dr. Thompson received his medical degree from the University of Texas in 1966. A co-founder of the Gunbarrel Medical Center, Dr. Thompson has been practicing family medicine locally since 1980. Prior to that, he practiced in Minnesota and North Dakota - serving two years with the U.S. Public Health Service's Division of Indian Health. Dr. Thompson is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
