Day of Dance is an energetic and educational event for women and their family members. The day includes health screenings, seminars, and heart beating, feet tapping, finger snapping dance, exercise and fun! Day of Dance brings together consumers and health care providers to celebrate health, wellness and prevention.
Celebrating its fifth year, this event will take place on Saturday, February 28, 2009, from 8 a.m. to noon. Location Boulder Community Foothills Hospital at 4747 Arapahoe Avenue in Boulder. Agenda - 8 a.m. – 11:30 p.m. – Screenings
- Blood pressure, cholesterol and glucose, lung function, weight & body mass index, sleep disorders and nutrition analysis
- 8 a.m. – noon – Dance Celebration
- Yoga, Pilates, Irish Step and Western Line dancing
- 8 a.m. – noon – Giveaways and healthy food samplings
- Healthy food donated by Boulder Community Hospital
- 9 a.m. – noon – Ask-a-Doctor
- Alex Bulkacz, MD, Table Mesa Family Practice
- 9 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. – Health Seminars
- 9 a.m. - Sleep Disorders and Heart Disease – Michael Weissberg, MD, Boulder Community Hospital Sleep Clinc
- 10:30 a.m. - Heart Disease in Women – Molly Ware, MD, Rocky Mountain Cardiology
Fees - $20 for all screenings
- Seminars, dance, healthy food and other activities are free
